E-books a new innovation for the disabled

Reading is a great pleasure for millions of people throughout the world. With a diverse range of subjects, authors and titles to choose from, there is much to keep bookworms occupied.

But if you are disabled reading a paper produced book is not as straightforward. If you are a quadraplegic unable to use your hands or you can only communicate by blinking it comes under the title of Locked-in-Syndrome, a condition where the person is aware and awake but cannot move or communicate due to complete paralysis of nearly all voluntary muscles in the body, or to have a visual impairment; then to have an innovative means of reading would open up the world of the written word to many people to which it is so far closed.
